My Guest Essay at Generation Y Michigan

Generation Y Michigan is a journalism project spearheaded by Lauren Silverman that attempts to understand why Gen Yers (like myself) are staying or leaving our mitten, and as I visited the site yesterday morning (after NPR played a story from the site that hit close to home), I decided to write about it.

I came to no conclusions, but as it tends to be a recurring theme of mine, I did indeed want to share my Michigan Love. So, here it is:

Hey Anna. I love the way you write (always have). Remember when you deconstructed Buffy? Here you go:

Time for you to give us your take on the Twilight phenomenon. Take care …

    Hi, Mr. Smith!

I actually took a class in fan studies in undergrad and ended up writing a 20-pager on Buffy. However, I reserve the right to remain silent on Twilight.
